Greening the Wall Panels

As more build projects try to stay green, there is an increased pressure on manufacturers of building materials to provide environmentally-safe and sustainable products. In the past, no one may have given much thought to wall panels but Dri-Design has changed all that. Traditional, wall panels have been made from composites, which consists largely of plastics and petroleum-based cores such as polyethylene cores. In fact, many composite wall panels are up to 75% plastic, which not only does not age well, but in fact is made from fossil fuels, a non-renewable resource. Many composite wall panels have a 4 mm core and a thin laminate of aluminum, meaning that the panels are largely plastic. Not only is this non-renewable, but if this panel burns, it will produce a toxic pollutant.

In contrast, Dri-Design wall panels are made entirely from natural metals such as aluminum, zinc and copper. Since the wall panels are made entirely of sheet metals rather than composites, they do not contain plastics and are more durable as a result. Plus, Dri-Design wall panels are in fact 100% recyclable.

In addition to creating and environmentally sound product, Dri-Design is committed to the environment at large. Thats why Dri-Design sends all of its cutoffs and scrap metal to recycling, reducing the amount of landfill fodder. Very few companies in the industry doe this, adding to landfills unnecessarily.
